Gaisce Hike!
Last Friday,the 29th of April a group of TY's headed to Kippure Adventure Centre in Wicklow for a 25km hike for Gaisce.We went by bus to the adventure centre and when we arrived we walked a bit of the way to the houses where we stayed for the night.
After that,we started off our hike. Fourtanely the weather was nice and there was not a drop of rain in sight.We walked for a few hours up and down hills and although parts were quite steep,I was delighted to see that we had reached the top once I saw a big pile of rocks.We had a snack on top of the rocks and we then had about an hours walk down and before we knew it we were back in our houses and we had completed half of our hike.
On the Saturday we completed the rest of the 25km hike and we then went back to our houses,took our bags and we were set for the bus to go home!
I really enjoyed the night away and am glad I have now completed the 25km hike for Gaisce.Thank you to the teachers who helped out with Gaisce and a big thanks to all the teachers who accompanied us on the night away :)

Swim a Mile :)
Last Friday,the 19th of April TY's and L.C.V.P students took part in the annual 'Ian Daly Swim a Mile' in the National Aquatic Centre, Blanchardstown.
I swam the mile in a group of 5 and we swam 3 miles and 20 lengths in total.24 miles were swam overall on the day.Well done to everyone who swam and counted on the day!
Before the swim we collected sponsorship for taking part in the day and this money goes to a great cause to Cancer Research in Crumlin Hospital and also Barretstown.
I really enjoyed the day and was delighted to be able to take part in the swim for such a worthy cause.Thank you to all the teachers who accompanied for the day.

Music Night!
On Thrusday 21st of March, St.Wolstan's held their annual Music Night. All music classes from 1st to 6th year performed. My class Cinealtas ,did a medley of three Ed Sheeran songs;Give me Love,Lego house and Small Bump,girls also played the piano and guitar along with the singing.We have been practicing our songs since September and fourtanely the performance went really well.The two other TY groups did a great performance of their pieces also.
It was a great and I really enjoyed it.

Trip to Kildare Town!
Yesterday,all TY's went to Kildare Town for a mini pilgrimage.
We started off the day by travelling to Kildare Town to the Kildare Heritage Centre where we watched a video about St.Brigid and Kildare history.
We then looked at St.Brigid's flame outside the heritage centre and Mr.K told us a little bit about the flame.We looked at the round tower in Kildare town where we walked around it seven times and after this you are supposed to dream about the man you will marry that night!Unfourtanely this didnt happen!
After this,we went to St.Brigid's cathedral,it was a lovely builduing and a very interesting part of the day.We also went to see two of St.Brigid's well's and learnt a bit about that.
After visiting Kildare Town,we went to Whitewater for lunch and to K Bowl for the end of the day.I really enjoyed the day,I learnt alot about St.Brigid!Thanks to Ms.L.Mr.K,Ms.B and Ms.O'B for accompanying us on our trip!
